Looking Ahead

This newsletter takes the place of the Friday Folder note this week. Parents please sign the Unit 22 spelling test and the Friday Folder and return them to school on February 8.

Thanks to all the parents who came with us to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The kids had a great time.

We are still working on our American Revolution research project. Students are well into their papers and we have begun working on our PowerPoint presentations. Most students should be ready to begin typing their final paper next week.

If your student participated on any of the basketball teams this year we will be taking pictures on Monday, February 8. Be sure to bring your uniforms and don’t forget your shoes.

Our class will be roller skating on Thursday February 11. Be sure to pick your student up at the roller skating rink or make arrangement to have them picked up by someone else. Thanks!

We also have a chance to attend the play Beauty and the Beast on March 3. The drama department at Brighton High School invited us and several classes will be
going. It is a great way to support the high school and also have a little fun. We will be walking down to the school. Mr. Hart will be sending the permission forms home soon.

We will begin our Iowa Tests of Basic Skills on February 16. Please be sure that your student is rested and has a good breakfast each day. Thanks!

Lenten Services begin on February 17 with our Ash Wednesday Services. We will have services at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. each week. Also don’t forget to join us for our soup suppers each week at 6:00 p.m. right before the services.
